Generally raw food is more hydrating and more nutrient rich (as in more of what's eaten is absorbed, hence smaller poops) than kibble. Hydration is good for all pigments, so you often see brighter healthier coats, eyes, gums, and skin.  Although you'd never know it with a Husky for the last one, ha. There is also a tendency for much less plaque and periodontal problems which is much more common on kibble-fed dogs.  

Raw fed dogs will usually drink less water as well,  because of the improvements with hydration and nutrient retention.

She has always been a major drinker! I will have to get used to a few different things

It's amazing how different all the puppies are, a couple of them are on crap food and doing well.. Maybe I'm blessed with the digestion sensitive dogs because I will try anything to make them healthier and happier!

So happy I stumbled upon the raw meat diet!

Thankfully the extra mental and physical work doesn't bother me I know it has just begun though.

Kodi is worth it!

Even with the extra work I find preparing almost a months worth of food into grab bag portions takes about the same amount of time I would spend driving to the pet store and buying the kibble. Only I never have to leave my house, just a walk to the freezer.

I can agree with that, I spent this afternoon.. Probably an hour total with clean up making two weeks of food bags and labeling them. I didn't find it very hard at all.

I gave Kodi a chicken leg and some breast tonight for dinner, I'm pretty sure she thought I was giving her crack! She LOVED it and was never interested in kibble.

I have already noticed a few things! After the first meal she had no breath odor, she is always excited to eat, no more pot belly and she had a tiny solid poop! What she did after she pooped was strange though.. She buried it, anyone else have this experience?
