You can add garlic powder and apple cider vinegar to the diet and also use essential oils like tea tree, peppermint, and rose geranium for a holistic repellent.

For garlic powder use organic and 1/16th of a teaspoon every other day.
Apple cider vinegar use organic and one Tablespoon every other day.

These measurements are for about a 50 pound dog.

This won't kill existing fleas but will repel incoming ones.

Any essential oil shop will have it.

I have no input on your dog house, sorry.

Oils are generally applied to the collar as you do not want it coming in contact with the skin.

What size dog house you'll need will depend on how big your individual dog will get and the dimensions of the actual igloo. Simply giving a medium vs large option doesn't give us a good idea of size. Also how big are your pups parents? How big does your breeder expect your pup to be? That should give you the best idea of anticipated adult size.
