I have been doing a lot of reading. I would like to share some valuable info on feeding raw and kibble. I read this several weeks ago, and I inadvertently fed Miya raw mixed with kibble a while back(actually the hubs did not me), and well, I did not see any adverse problems feeding her this way.....so on to the reading and sharing.....

It's funny how mixing raw and kibble has this huge warning of not to do when the reasoning is because they digest at different rates. EVERYTHING digests at different rates. Mushers have been mixing raw and kibble for hundreds of years.

I love the study they did though. There is so little research on proper raw diets that it's hard to find information based in scientific study.

As for raw and kibble...Mishka is fed kibble in the morning and raw in the evening. Never any adverse reactions and we're about 4 months in now. Smile

One of the things I like about the web is the availability of information; one of the things I dislike about the web is the availability of information.  Facts, as noted, are often hard to come by, opinions are rampant.

Renee, that was a very interesting article and being factually driven actually makes sense. Thanks for sharing!

I read that a while ago and wondered why I didn't see someone share that on the forum sooner! It was definitely interesting and I was glad to see an actual study done.

I too have fed a mix of kibble and raw on multiple occasions and never had any issues. Glad to see that finally published. I have always wondered where the contrary claims had come from but never found any hard evidence proving one or the other.

Interesting! So raw actually means raw meat. Great info and glad you found an evidence based study and not someone's page or blog.
