So i gave koda a frozen towel today and he loves it!!! Im worries about him shredding it after a while and swallowing piece of it.. Any certain types of towels i should use to avoid this? Or just take it away before he starts shredding?

Loki liked them for a while especially when he was teething now he just loves towels and will take them from basket we keep near the door to wipe him down with when it is raining. Just tosses them around.

I take the end of the chewed up rope bones (knots) and freeze them!
Never tried a frozen towel even during teething .
My aussie used to carry around a hand towel around as a banky. (we never froze it though.)
We weaned her off of this after four years before we got Bourbon however she would take about a month to three months to shred the towel and I found that a microfiber towel was the stongest against the bite and pull. Even when she did shred it was stringy more than clumps of towel so it showed up like a rope bone does several days later. No foul.

I left frozen towels with Sheba when she was teething and I went to work. I left it in with her until I got home. She never chewed up the towel and I never had problems with it. I gave her just a normal hand towel Smile.

regarding the rope toy - I took the knots after they "broke" the rope bone and ran them under water and put in a ziplock then once they looked like freezer burn I gave them to him. He liked it immensly at first and then after a month it was not as exciting.
I had a canvas bone that was stuffed which was made to rinse and freeze he did chew into that though. The rope know he just munched on for about 15-20 minutes at a time.
