| I will be a bringing home a 10 week old male husky pup in December. I am very excited to be adding him as my new copilot in life. This will be my first husky. The toughest part is figuring out the best call name for him! Look forward to chatting with you all on the forum. |

| I find that once you have a dog they kinda give themselves a name. I've never been able to name a dog without being around them for a while and seeing what they are like. Good luck and welcome to the forum. _________________ |

I second this. The last four came to me already named and I seldom change an existing name but the several before that came from shelters who didn't know their names. My last lab was a difficult one to name so I finally stuck her with "Kalah" thanks to an Indian friend who owned a store - he called her Kalah a few times, she responded to it and I finally had to ask what it meant - it's the Indian equivalent to "Blackie". _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| I also find that all my animals have their original names but always end up with nicknames as well. You will have time to figure it out, the way I name my pets (if they aren't already named when I get them) is to find a name that is the easiest to say and suits them, because you will be saying it a lot! Enjoy him! |

| Hi everyone,
Thanks for the support. I brought the little rascal home on Friday and he is awesome despite the chaos that my apartment is turning into. Starting to crate train him.
The name that I am 90% sure I am sticking with at this point is Bacchus. |
