2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. The injury would be considered a pre-existing condition and wouldn't be covered by insurance. Most insurance plans have waiting periods before they go into effect. So even if you pick a plan today, you may have to wait 30-90 days before the insurance goes into effect. And even after that, any effects from this injury wouldn't be covered.

Basically, you're too late. If you don't see improvement quickly, then a trip to the Vet is likely a good idea. Depending on how bad it is, you may not want to wait to check for improvement, and you may need to take her in right away to get checked out.

Trying to get the insurance now, and wait to get her checked out could cause long term issues if the injury is severe.

As far as pet insurance goes, you'll need someone else to help you out there. I've never done it and don't know much about which companies offer the best plans.

Ditto what Dave says. Additionally, consumer reports doses not recommend pet insurance. Rather, they day, bank the premium every month for a very emergency fund.

It would be looked at as a pre-existing condition. I have pet insurance for my Husky and I am glad I have it. For me and I do not mean this disrespectfully but I am not a big fan of Consumer Reports for the last 25 years. The money I pay for premiums have already come back to me. For what's its worth, we use Healthy Paws.
