2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

My name is Kelsey, Shea is my middle name, you can use either Smile I'm 22, a photographer... You can view my work at http://www.kelseysheaphotography.com. I live in central NC... Fun Facts: I'm not a singer but I sang in Disney World and Carnegie Hall with my High School Chorus. I've traveled the British Isles and Southern Ireland... and I spent two years in Santa Barbara, California attending Brooks Institute, before I hurt my back on campus. Ok, The last one isn't really "fun" but it led me to adopting my new puppy!

This is Timber, sometimes I also call him Tim... and he's a Husky/Collie mix I got at a local shelter 2 weeks ago.
New from NC! Timber
The other dog out of focus is my Mom's dog Katie, she is Pomeranian/Pekingese/Cocker Spaniel mix, also adopted from a shelter. She is the sweetest little thing!

He is my first Husky (or husky mix) and I have always wanted one. I love him to pieces. On the way home from the shelter he sat in my lap and we howled together riding down the road! It was adorable. And he only howls when I howl with him, which is awesome because I live across from a hospital, lots of sirens. He's about 9 weeks old now, and when I first took him to the vet he only weighed 4.8 pounds... the second time I went he was up to 6.6! Still a bit under but much better.

The first two weeks have been interesting, he had hookworms and roundworms and coccidia. So lots of runny poo and no appetite. I had to hand feed him one piece at a time! I saw at least 8 worms come out of the little guy... it was like a horror movie Sad But, he's doing much better now! He has pudding poo still... but very active, and eating like a mini horse! I can only take that as a good sign.

I hope to learn a lot from all of you! And give all of your fur babies a belly rub for me please!

Welcome Kelsey and congrats on your new pup! Kudos to you for adopting as well, Timber is absolutely adorable and his name is equally cute!

Your photos are amazing! I wish I possessed the slightest knack for photography. I hope this means you'll be sharing lots of amazing photos of Timber as he grows! Very Happy

Thank you guys so much! I'm sorry I kinda disappeared, but he is wearing me out. I swear he gets more and more energy every day! And nightly bathroom breaks are really fun. I also have around 50 images I've been editing off and on from an event... takes forever, and you don't want to stare at a computer after that. That's why I don't like shooting events... but money is money!

There will be a lot of pictures! As soon as everything slows down a bit I'm probably going to start a scrapbook for him, and I think I'm going to participate in the 52 weeks for dogs. You guys may be tired of my pictures soon enough.

He is extremely smart. Already knows down, stay, sit, come, (most of the time haha) and can even say "I love you" and "Hello" off and on. He hasn't once gone to the bathroom in his kennel... He's doing really well with potty training, but in the beginning he found the strangest places to hide "presents" for me. I think the craziest was under a rug. I had been smelling something, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from... followed my nose, lifted up the rug, and wondered how the heck he did that. It's a pretty big/heavy rug... But luckily, the bottom of it is a lot easier to clean than the top!

The only problem I've been having with him is biting... which, from what I've read, isn't unusual, and he's getting better with it everyday. It use to be I couldn't pet him without him trying to chew on my hand. Now, he rolls on his belly, and only bites in play. So it's getting better. Work in progress.

Thank you guys again!
