2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Today i got a bag of the oc raw rabbit and produce freezedried bites. I have no intention of feeding my dogs this as food. More as a treat because this stuff would cost about 40 dollars a day of i used it exclusively.

So has anyone else tried it or used freezedried raw as treats instead of actual treats?

I'm sorry, I have to do this ... freezedried describes my dogs and me.

This is sunny southwest Texas in the Chihuahuan Desert where the average temp is well over 100 - in the summer. This is the third year out of 10 that I've been here that we've had snow.
The third picture was taken from my front porch as the sun set ... there's a road out there that hasn't had any traffic for well over 48 hours!

Freeze dried ... and beyond!

Yeah the weather has been weird. We got about 2 feet on the 29th... had to figure out the jeep 4wd on the fly... ended up having to watch a YouTube vid on the side of the road to unlock the axel. New jeep has way way way too many buttons.

This was at sunrise on the 29th. Mountain is called agua ramon. Taken from the front doorOc raw freezedried 20201216

To answer your original question, I've used freeze dried liver for treats and the dogs love them. I'd be thinking that it's that "all natural" ingredients that they like most. Real liver, real rabbit .... ummmmmm.

I am slightly concerned about the amount of fat in it.. its kind of high. But then trying to find poultry free treats that are under 8 dollars a bag is not always easy.

We need it. It only rains during monsoon season so 90% of our yearly precipitation is from snow, and despite how the pic looks, we are in an extreme drought. Our winter economy depends on snow. The ski area is 18 miles away, the national forest is about half a mile away for snow machines and x country skiing and then all the other businesses that rely on tourism. Between the weather and the pandemic, south fork is not doing so well.

I haven't done the OC raw but have done the ONP (only natural pet) freeze dried rawnibs food as treats as well as ziwipeak. Have also used as a topper rehydrated. They loved them. Kye can't have poultry either so those and lung treats have been my go-to for years with him.
