| This beautiful, friendly dog showed up at our doorstep last week and adopted us, but the problem is - we can't keep her. I know that she is someone's dog, she smells freshly groomed, she wants to come inside, and she looks to be purebred. I have taken her to be scanned - no chip, no collar and tags, I can't get close enough to her ear to check for a tattoo. We live in Southeast Missouri. I'd love to be able to find her home. Can someone also let me know how to get in touch with a rescue group in my area. Thanks. |

| Sorry I can't help (what with being in the UK) but I am sure there is someone here who will point you in the right direction.
I certainly hope you find her owner - huskies are notorious for escaping and they can travel long distances too - I expect her owners are frantic.
Can you post a pic on the forum - you never know her owners may check out the husky forums in their search. They may also contact all the local dog shelters so It may be an idea to let them know you have her. Also put up some fliers in local shops, trees in the park, lamposts etc.
Good luck let us know how you get on |

| The best place to start in your search for rescue groups is the internet. Just google "Husky Rescue" and your local area and see what pops up. Also, I would contact the local shelters and ask them. Because of the unique nature of the breed, a lot of shelters have good reputations with rescue groups to take on Sibes.
Thanks so much for giving this girl a temporary home. Good luck! Let us know if we can help more! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| How do you post a picture on here? I thought I had it figured out, but it didn't work.
I posted a ad on petfinder, and I've alerted all the vets, police, groomers, etc. in this area - it's frustrating that I can't find her owner - I know she is someone's dog.
I tried a Husky Rescue - I sent them an email, and it was a bad address.
Thanks for all your help guys! |

| I am near Dexter. I have alerted the 2 vets in Dexter, one in Malden, 1 in Puxico. I called a rescue person in Sikeston, haven't gotten in touch with the humane society there, alerted Stoddard Co. Sheriff, Dexter Police and dog catcher, 1 groomer in Dexter, posted on a few websites, put pictures on my FB page, just hope I don't miss anything.
Where are you? |

| She was reunited with her owners tonight - it was very heartwarming, they all were so happy!
After having her for a little over a week, I now have a new favorite breed of dog!
I do know where Keokuk is though. |
