2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Loves the bathtub Empty
PostSubject: Loves the bathtub   Loves the bathtub EmptyFri May 20, 2011 5:00 pm

Ok so Mikko has some odd behaviors and I just want to see if anyone else's dog has done this.
When we first brought him home he was mesmerized by the bathtub so I put him in there (he was too little to jump over the edge himself). I did because my last husky hated getting baths and wouldn't go near the tub and I wanted train Mikko to like this place. He immediately went for the tap and started licking it so I turned on the water and he drank from it.
This is becoming a sort of addiction now. Everytime we leave the bathroom door open a crack, he barges in and ends up in the tub. Sometimes he'll also be scratching at the drain. And once I noticed our drain that was previously clogged up with hair was no longer clogged up....EWW.
A few times my husband hasn't shut the door properly while he was showering and Mikko actually jumps into the shower with him!
He tolerates taking a bath, but only if he can drink water from the tap or our hands.
Is my dog weird or what?

just make sure there is noting unsafe for him to eat in there. one of our members pup ate floss and had to have surgery to remove it!

My moms dog does this. Mine assume any time they are in the tub it means they are getting a bath.

I bet mine would totally eat drain hair if they weren't so afraid to get into the tub! Shocked

I would just make sure there is no open products of bars of soap he could get to. I had a dog when I was growing up that loved to eat Dove soap!
