Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. | So I came home and found a small pack of LED lights on the ground. The light itself is the size of a pea (smaller actually) but there are two metal pieces that are 2" long, thin and strong... it could easily go through an intestine! I am assuming it is Hailey because she is almost always the one who does this stuff. She is acting totally normal, and so is Koda... and they ran outside and played when we got home... but I'm worried she ate one. I guess I honestly don't think she did... but I don't know if I should do anything. Without knowing for sure, emergency xrays seem a bit excessive, but I don't want to be an awful mother. With the sharp piece, making her puke could cause more harm than good, I think. I think all I can do is monitor her The next couple of days will suck _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Oh No! I hate this kind of poop patrol. All too familiar with it. Hopefully she didn't ingest it and if she did hopefully it comes out smoothly. We went through this with a small razor blade from a paper cutter. Found all of the pieces, but couldn't find the razor blade and no idea which dog. Both dogs off for emergency x rays. It wasn't cheap. Thank goodness both were cleared, but we still never found the blade |

| Worried momma = not thinking clearly. The lights were in a clear bag (off of ebay- using them to light our paper lanterns for the tent) so I forgot that we actually knew how many were supposed to be in there. The bag was supposed to have 100 and we counted over that. So IF they ingested any, it couldn't have been more than one... and Heather via text reminded me that something like that would have likely made them choke or gag before going down smoothly.
They will still both be closely monitored, but I do feel a bit better! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
