I've been trying to get proper meaty bones for Skye. Most of our local butchers are useless, when you ask for bones they look at you as though your mad; "Y'know, bones. Those things that stop animals flopping around in the field" It seems most butchers get their meat pre-boned. Fortunately our local farmers market is now supplying me with as many as we want. Unfortunately our back garden now looks like a family of serial killers resides here.

After seeing some previous discomfort from feeding raw bones from deer. I haven't been much for giving dogs bones of any type.

Mylo had the jaw strength of Godzilla. He totally had the largest leg bone off a deer (femur?) gone in less then 15 minutes, and yes they are perfectly capable of splintering, and if they consume to much can very easily cause impacted bowels.
