PostSubject: Greetings from South Carolina    Greetings from South Carolina EmptyTue Sep 20, 2011 1:04 pm

I'm new here but not a new dog owner. I have a 3 yr old Siberian Husky named De'Nali, We call her Nali for short. A 2 yr old Alaskan Malamute/Chow Chow mix named Rylie (pronounced Rylee) I like to call her a 'Malamutt' lol, I also have a 4 yr old Siamese/Turkish Angora mix cat named Rocky. My name is Jess, I'm engaged to be married and the date approaching rather soon. I live and breath Sled dogs and other arctic breeds. I'm currently 20 yrs old and I've been obsessed with them since I was 6. It was the first time I'd ever seen such a beautiful dog and I have been determined to have them with me for the rest of my life. I'll never live without one, they are amazing dogs and I'm so passionate about them! Below is two pictures, one of each of my pooches! De'Nali is on top, she got sooo dirty when we went to the mountains! Rylie is on the bottom giving me her thank you eyes. The date on the camera pictures are right, we just go there often. Harmon Field in Tryon, NC is a great place to take your dogs. Mine just love it!

Welcome Jess! wave You have an adorable pair! I love Rylie's blue tongue, so cute! Congrats on your upcoming wedding, we have two other members with weddings coming up very soon as well! Whereabouts in SC are you? We have a vacation home in NC also (Maggie Valley, about 70 miles northwest of Tryon) which we travel to very often as well! In fact, all the pics in my current signature are from Maggie Valley, NC! We love it up there!

If only we were all located near each other and not widely spread out across the states! Why is it that everyone in CO is located near Denver?!

Oh and I'm in Upstate, SC. Spartanburg area. My Fiancee is a HUGE Denver Broncos fan!!! He thinks I'm going to let him pain our walls orange and blue stripes LOL, How wrong he is xD

He's from San Diego and his Dad was originally from Colorado so that's probably where he gets it. We'd love to move to Charleston or maybe Tryon, NC. Possibly San Diego or Denver in the far future when we can afford it.

Cool, we stop in Spartanburg every time we drive out to NC. You have a much shorter drive than we do to NC. Lucky! And I don't recommend Charleston as a place to live, it's a great place to visit...not so much to live in though.

Yeah we are pretty close to the NC border. The whole family adores it out there! We all have so much fun up at Harmon Field and walking around downtown Tryon. I've never been to Charleston but I truly believe that I'm an old soul. I love anything and everything Victorian! One of my many passions! I've always wanted to see it but I think I can see what you mean, That it probably wouldn't be the ideal choice to live.

I too and a few hours from Spartanburg and am jealous of how close you are to NC. I actually love Asheville.

I'll be in Charleston again in February (I think). I have a performance there. I'm going to look into a nice place to stay with Stormy. I can't wait to take him to Savannah and the Bay Street Inn.

Oh how fun! You'll have to post a reminder when it's closer to the time you come to Charleston. I have no idea what I'll be doing in Feb at this point (so many things up in the air for us) but maybe if everyone has free time we could get the dogs together or something for a little meet up.

That'd be awesome. De'Nali is such a sweetie but what's weird is she'll only play with rylie and other huskies. I've never heard of a dog breed racist dog lol Rylie is happy to play with anything that does or doesn't move. She's just a big puppy =]

I live in Augusta, GA, but my parents live near Greenville, NC. That's about 2 hours from you. I'll be there in November with Montana for a visit. Very Happy

My mom's golden only plays nice with other goldens at first meet ups. It takes her a little warm up to other dogs. Kind of funny.
