| Does anyone have a Kuranda bed for their dog(s)? I want to get one for Dakota, but he is so picky when it comes to beds. He hasn't been sleeping on the orthopedic bed I got him and instead he sleeps on the hardwood floors. You would think the hard floor would bother his hip. |

| I know someone that has a Kuranda bed for their husky, and he loves it! But I think they're a little pricey - at least the ones I've come across. You could probably make your own with PVC pipes and elbow joints. The bed could be made of some sort of sturdy fabric with sewn velcro to wrap the sides.... Ginger and Storm actually LOVES the AeroBed! I think we paid about $100 for a double AeroBed and there's plenty of room for both, and that's what they sleep on in our room! _________________ |

| If I didn't think Willow would try and gnaw on it, I would try the Aerobed. I just don't trust her to not get bored at some point in time and try to eat it! She loves to sleep on beds, but always manages to chew off a corner when i'm not looking. |

| So cute!! I made Sky a little pillow bed when we first got her, but after a few days she got bored and started eating it. Now she only uses it under supervision. I hope she'll mellow out enough to have a bed before too long!
I've been eyeing the K9 Ballistics beds. The customer comments seem pretty good. But that looks comfy, and what a good price! Are your dogs chewers? |

It's so weird - they're not chewers at home but apparently master chewers at day care! Frosti tried the first few days, but I put a chewie bone in her mouth when she started. After a week, she didn't chew on anything else. She does chew on the beds at day care, and tears the pillows apart - but the beds survive. It's super comfy - all the doggies love them and they're easy to rinse off - they do get pee'd on there. hehe |

| We had these at the Humane Society I used to work at. The held up pretty well and were easy to clean. The only issue we had is the legs would break off sometimes or they'd start to really chew at the PVC. But I think in a normal environment without all that stress... they'd hold up just fine. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | My mom used to make those beds and sell them a long time ago. She'd use PVC and the material they use for patio furnature. I keep telling her she needs to make me one! I believe she won a Kuranda bed once and it's pretty good, except one leg broke and it's pulled so tight I'd think it wouldn't be that comfy for a dog. Probably why her dogs hardly ever use it. The coolaroo bed looks better to me. _________________ -Sara |
