2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

There's not a dog park here local and its probably a good thing with how people are around here. We have a Petsafe Wireless Fence system, so the dogs do not get out of our yard. They get with in 10' of the road and the beeper on their collar goes off, they get any closer and they get shocked. ( I tried the collars on myself before putting them on my dogs). The fence works very well. Before I got the wireless fence I had to keep her on a leash every time she wanted out and when she saw other dogs, she would pull and pull trying to get to them. Now, she see's them and will sit down and just watch them, so much better. There is a couple people that walk their dogs by our house and they are always complaining because my dog is not on a leash. Abby, my Jack Russel runs to the porch every time she see's other dogs, she's very very timid around any dog besides Camber. Camber will run as close to the road as she can with out getting shocked, and just watch the others walk by. Usually people will walk over and speak to her and pet her. She is very well liked by everyone buy these two people that constantly complain. They say that they are scared to walk their dogs by my house because of my overly aggressive dog. Keep in mind that my Camber and their dogs have never had any problems. I'll be glad to be moved into my new place on account of these two chronic complainers. There is one lady that walks her Rottweiller Puppy (one week younger than Camber) by our house. We let Camber and the Rottweiller play and they play rough but get along great. Its funny watching them tackle each other. They will eventually tire out, go get a drink of water and go about their own way. I think the worst thing a person can do for a dog is to not allow it to be around other dogs.

Invisible fences are not 100% reliable. There have been incidents here of dogs breaking out or even getting attacked in their own yard. I really think like shock collars they are not the best and most humane training device. Nothing keeps neighbors out of your business like a good old fashion privacy fence.
