Greetings all,
I have been lurking these forums for a while to read and gather up all knowledge possible about getting a husky. I've read the "so you're thinking of getting a husky" thread, so I understand the challenges associated with the breed.
I am a graduating university student who just accepted a job requiring me to move away from my normal area of life, and I am single. These things prompted the thought of getting a dog to keep my company in a new place. The issue is, my job will require a decent amount of day travel on some days (little to no overnight travel). Do you this issue and the potential separation anxiety could be eliminated by finding a good daycare/pet sitter/kennel to take care of my potential future husky on the days where I can't make it home mid-day for a walk or play time? I realize this would get expensive, but the job pays well and being single, I won't have many expenses.
Has anyone else ever been in a similar situation, and how did it turn out? Do you think it is worth the trouble for a person in my situation to deal with a husky, or should I consider another breed (or a cat! haha).
Thanks!
