Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I'm a few weeks away from bringing home husky #2, who will become the newest family member and future playmate to our three-year-old pictured below, Chochise. It's been awhile, so I came here trying to freshen up my memory on the ups and downs of puppyhood. Have enjoyed looking around on the fourm these past few days.

One day we Virginians will outnumber the 9,358 folks from Colorado on this forum! My family and I live near Lynchburg with our 10 month old male husky, Sabaka.

He is a white male with eyes that will eventually turn amber or possibly golden. I am getting him from the same lady I got Cochise from, Susan Culberston out of Greenwood, SC.

I have wanted a second for a while, but circumstances have dictated otherwise. We'll enjoy it, but even more so Cochise will love having a full-time playmate, I would imagine. Not long ago a friend emailed me information about a few that were available for adoption from a local shelter. I inquired but they were already gone. Out of curiousity I went to Susan's website to take a look and saw she had a new litter. It was all down hill from there! I have casually monitored her site over the last year, but the timing is finally right.

Here he is at about 3 1/2 weeks. More to follow in a few weeks.

My male is 3 1/2 years old and I just got him a little sister about 3 months ago and he is happier than ever! I'm sure Cochise will be so happy! I know how you feel though, I got Koda in 2008 and ever since he was 6 months lurked his breeder's site and other breeder's I liked wanting a 2nd!

He was from a breeder in northern AZ who is now retired. They don't even ave a website anymore.
