I've always been fascinated with the registered names people come up with for their dogs (and horses).
Although I've never actually given a dog (or horse) a registered name, I like to make them up and have done so for some of my dogs (and my horse).
Annnnd since I'm bored and have nothing better to do (it's almost the middle of January and we still have NO SNOW...makes for a bored musher) I thought I would post them.

Here's the list:
Before the name I would have part of my kennel name so it would look like the below.
Small 'N' Mighty's Cougar On The Rocks (Cougar)
" " " All That Jazz (Jazz)
" " " Jacob Marley (Jacob)
" " " Keepin' It Classy (Salsa)

And my horses' "pretend" registered name is All That Jazz, same as my dog but I really like the name.

That's all I've got so far.

Zoey: Myshka's Fierce Vixen Zoey
Embry: Arctic Blue Huskies Ember Glow
Nova: Kristari's Supernova

Siku: "Siku VIII" haha...wasn't creative at all with that one!
Elara: "Allure's Total Lunar Eclipse" cause we picked her up on the night of the total lunar eclipse! And Elara is one of Jupiter's moons (in keeping with the moon theme).

Elara's dad is Huskavarna's High Roller and his call name is Vegas. And her mom is Shadetree's Dreaming Tree which the Dreaming Tree is from a song (that I of course can't think of right now).

Well if I had the opportunity to name Thor I would have probably named him
Ziggy Stardust

Thor's parents name were
Sire: Lonnie's Black Knight
and
Dam: Moody Blue

Neither of mine are registered... but I always give my pet's full names like they are kids. lol.

When I thought I was going to get Rodeos papers I was going to name him:"Sunshines Little Red Rodeo"

Luka is not registered, but we joke that if she was human her full name would be Luka Flower Hackle. Flower would be her middle name because she likes to sniff flowes and Hackle as a last name because she is always raising her hackels.

Kitty's registered name is not really creative. It's Aoi's Kitty Kat Spreda. Kitty's human name would be Kitty Olive Hackle. Olive because she is black and Hackle because I wanted her to have the same last name.

Kind of silly about this thread being reported, maybe someone thought it was supposed to go in a different section.

Tikaani is registered as **'s African Blizzard. African because his dad had Africa in his registered name and we like to commemorate the same sexed parent, Blizzard because the Fiance really wanted to name him that but the name didn't fit.



** stands for the breeder's kennel name, which I will not put down due to a falling out with them. I may eventually mention what bad experiences we've experienced, and would rather not submit the forum to potential issues that may occur should the breeder be known.

Someone may have reported it by accident - I reported a couple other threads earlier today that were clearly spam about sports.

Skyla is named "Apache Run's Shut Your Eyes Skyla" (named after song Shut Your Eyes by Snow Patrol)
Her parents names are: CH Apache Run's Abey (Abey)
CH Kristari's Red Moon Rising (Rummer)

Our female white husky's AKC name is: Seaside Snow Cali Calypso

We haven't registered Neptune yet...still working on his name!

I think the difference lies in the registered name vs. the non-registered names. Registered names end to turning more into racing horse names or yacht names IMO.

Are things really that strict? I can't imagine someone reporting a thread just because it is like an old one. So what... of course, this is the first forum I've ever been on, so I guess I'm clueless. I have really enjoyed reading everyone's names. :-) Makes me wish I'd been more creative.

It was most likely reported by accident. It's really easy to hit the wrong thing when your posting from a phone.

Dakota was register as Dakota Storm and they added a number after it. I wasn't too creative either.

Willow has papers but I never registered her. I dont' know if I still can... If I can, I will have to get more creative.
