Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Let Koda out in the back yard to go do he's thang. He had been out for a while and went out to check on him and found him with a big coon by the neck. He would not let it go so I had to help him kill it. I washed him off to check for bite wounds. Did not find any, think God.

| Day time or night time???
If day time I'd take Koda to the vet for a booster rabies shot or at minimum call for an opinion. Hope you washed your hands as the rabies virus is carried via saliva.
By the way tell Koda I said good boy ..... I have a hate hate relation with racoons. |

| Be careful with coons. I used to hunt when I was younger, and them things can be mean. Im surprise Koda got ahold of it. Glad he.didn't get bit or scratched. I would take him and get a rabies booster just to be.on the safe side. |

| One thing I was taught about hunting coon was that you didn't want the coons taking the fight into water. Seems the coon would climb up behind the dog (if possible) and then drown them by forcing their head under water. Yep they look cute but are mean as all hell. |

| Oh they will to! I was always scared when i knew the dogs had crossed water. Im not sure if the coon is smart enough to drown a dog purposely, or if they just climb on there heads to stay above water and inadvertently drown the dog. Either way, im glad it never happened yo me. |

| We have a friend that works at the vet, I called her and she said he had a booster shot just last month and he should be fine. And it was right at dusk when it happened. |
