2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Unfortunately I need to find a new home for Victoria.

When I got her, the primary reason was to be a companion for my Shih Tzu, Sonny, when my elder dog Kaya passed. Well, to my ongoing disbelief & dismay Kaya went to the Raimbow Bridge last month very suddenly & unexpectedly.

What I see now with just the two is that Victoria isn't the kind of companion Sonny needs. She's much bigger than he, and the rough play worries me some. Also, the days I'm in the office & not working from home, she spends most of those days with my neighbors & their Huskies. It's great for Victoria but leaves Sonny alone.

So with that, I'd like to find her the best home possible. Victoria is just over 5 months now, not spayed but has all her shots & is current on heart worm & flea treatment. I don't have cats but she has spent a fair amount of time around my neighbors' cats & doesn't seem to mind ; )

If interested please email fridayxiii@gmail.com

I'm sure she won't go to just anyone but please be sure they have Husky experience Smile

If you are interested the South Florida Husky rescue can take her into foster and work to find an approved adopter.

My goal is absolutely to find an experienced home!

I appreciate mention of the South FL group, and that could be a great option. One of my first considerations was the local rescue group here in Tampa Bay but from what I know they won't take a dog unless they've been spayed/neutered. Does the S FL group have a similar requirement? I'd certainly be willing to do some driving to get Victoria to the right people too.

No, we neuter all dogs prior to adoption Smile

I think the Siberian Husky Rescue of Florida and Husky Haven of Florida would be closer rescues. They could probably take her in if you'd hold on to her and foster her for them. Then they could get word out about her and get her spayed.

If all else fails, I can talk to my mom. She does all breed rescue, but we're over in Deltona.
