I am SO ANGRY right now!!

John got a job offer in Albany (YAY!) so I was all set to move into one of these two apartment complexes that are "large breed friendly" and I've heard GREAT things from several people about these places. They're in the town that John will be working in and everything... I call up to get some information and guess what? They don't allow huskies.

WTF?! I've heard of this before, but seriously? Huskies on the banned breeds list because of insurance? SO DUMB.

So now I'm scrambling to find houses/apartments to rent and I'm just super frustrated. People are so ignorant.

Find a house to rent - I am thankful that Lee did in Oregon. Poor Evo has grown up in an apartment with only nights to be able to run around outside. You'll appreciate the fenced yard - and the leasing agents typically just want to know how big the dog is. Good luck - and congrats to John on the job! I know how tough the waiting can be!

Yeah, I work from home. We need to move before the holidays, so we basically have 2 weeks. I've been looking for homes to rent, but I don't where to look besides craigslist. We don't have a ton of money to spend on renting an entire house and in the Albany area they tend to be expensive. Do I just call a real estate agent and ask? I mean, I wouldn't know how to go about that.

Oh - and be sure to look just outside of the area if possible. We try to always live just outside of where we work - sometimes ends up being cheaper and SO worth a couple of extra minutes in driving.

Trust me... I'm anal about this stuff... normally I search months in advance... we're looking anywhere within 30 mins of his office.. that side of albany is just expensive. It's right outside of Saratoga if that puts it in perspective for anyone. Ritzy, rich area, and hard to find something cheap.... ESPECIALLY a house.
