| I woke up just now (5:30 AM) and went to the kitchen to get something to drink. I immediately smelled that someone had pooped. I thought it was the cat box at first but when I turned around to face the living room... who do I see on the couch? Snow. Sitting there in mid chew of a cd my husband had made of a movie the night before. I just stood there in awe and whispered, "How did you get out?" mainly to myself since no one else is up and surely Snow doesn't understand that. I thought back to all the comments I had read here about huskies and how they are escape artists. I almost had to laugh to myself. Almost.
I know it's my fault. Snow and I had done some hard training yesterday and she had a "crap" load of treats such as blue bites, hot dogs and cheese. She was having diarrhea before we went to bed. Of course when she escaped from her crate, she went behind the couch (overcoming the barrier I had made) and took a big ole runny crap back there. She also peed by her bells. I can just imagine her ringing the bells by the door and then after some time thinking "Forget this crap. I'mma just do it in here."
I took her out after cleaning all of this and she had more diarrhea and peed. I could only sigh, put her back in her crate with a pat, and chalk this up as a HUGE lesson learned. |

| Oh, my. Lol I had to chuckle at this, I could just imagine how I would react to seeing Freya out of her crate in the middle of the night.
Do you know how she escaped? And are you going to put an extra lock on it now that she can?

| Hmm are you sure both of the crate locks were in place. I know one time Balon woke me up at 3 am half out of his crate and was stuck, why because my son forget to latch the bottom latch and he pushed himself half out. |

| That's nothing. Hailey used to collapse the wire crate in on herself and squeeze herself out... so that when she managed to wriggle out, she pulled the crate back together. My friend and cousin calls her Hailey Houdini. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Oh puppies! Not much to add but I hope u find out how she got out and because of the runs I would maybe start by just using one kind of treat a day and figure out what one made her sick _________________ |

| Keeonah can get the two sliding locks undone in under 5 minutes now that she knows how. she has also collapsed the crate before. Blows my mind how she gets it done, but if she wants out bad enough she will find a way lol. I use 2 copper wire ties on the front and back corners of the crate to hold it together, and use a caribeaner (sp?) clip to latch the door to the rest of the crate. she hasnt broken out yet, but she HAS managed to bend the heck out of the crate wires.
