Hello everyone!

My name's Bex & I live with my partner Nick in the lovely countryside in Cheshire, Northern England, UK. I work as a professional tattoo artist & Nick is a carer for the mentally disabled. We are soon-to-be Husky parents so I thought I'd introduce myself to you all.

This is Arkham, our Husky puppy. On these photos he's between 5 - 7 weeks old (we get sent pictures from the breeder every week).

Hello all! Quick intro for me & my new pup... 20120712_210618

(On that last one he's the pup on the right).

We're off to pick him up on the 30th of July, when he'll be just over eight weeks old and we can't wait! He will be our first Husky together, though both of us have always had & grown up with dogs (Nick's had GSDs, I've always had Border Collies).

We were attracted to Arkham in particular because he was very noticeably relaxed around us & seemed to take an instant liking to Nick - he came over, sat on his knee, & just wanted to sit & look at his face. His mum was a bright copper red & white, his dad was a dark silver & white, so it'll be interesting to see what amazing colours Arkham's coat turns. His eyes thus far are a dark blue, so it'll be interesting to see what colour he ends up with (both his parents were blue-eyed) I'm guessing a brown or amber.

Also, the breeder is five minutes down the road from us & we wanted to be able to stay involved with them throughout Arkham's early life (she's been AMAZING so far & always offering us help & advice).

Soooo... Yeah! Hello! I'll post some more pics of us with him when he comes home with us next week. Smile

Thanks! Thought I'd post another pic - this is Arkham's mum, Skye, with her pups soon after birth (Arkham is the one with his bum sticking out the most!)

Hello all! Quick intro for me & my new pup... 5382915-430m

I was a bit worried 'cause I'd heard most purebred Husky pups are born with pointed ears, but the litter has floppy ears (you can see from the earlier pics his right ear is starting to stand I think).

And from the photo you can see his mum is a beaut!

Thanks for all your kind words! Just out of interest; at a very rough guess what colour would you say Arkham will end up when he's fully grown? I honestly couldn't care less but seeing some of the member's scrapbooks - it's fascinating watching how some Husky's coats & markings change so dramatically!

I think I'd guess a sable or a wolf-grey...? Maybe even a light copper!

OMG cuteness overload! Don't worry his ears will stand up, it can take time. As for color wow thats just a guess, my Balon is only 5 months and has changed so much. Right now he is a dark copper color which in the sun is gorgeous, in the house looks like brown lol!

Welcome to the forum and Arkham is adorable Smile

Their coats do change alot as do the markings on their face, I look back at the pictures I took of Rue and am always surprised at how much his face has changed. But Arkham mom is gorgeous! And good luck with him Smile

Well I just got another set of pics off the breeder & it looks like his ears have finally stood, & his coat is somewhat darkening! He reminds me of the direwolf puppies from Game of Thrones, haha!

Hello all! Quick intro for me & my new pup... 20120724_221218_resized

She also says his eyes are going grey - whether that will result in blue, white or brown eyes is anybody's guess!

Greetings from Portland, Oregon, where Mo Farah trained for his 5 and 10k triumphs in the London Olympics. Stellar races by Mo!

You have a terrific resource with the breeder as a neighbor.
