Is frank a litter mate too? He is husge compared to the others

Jennifer- Indeed, it was a great time! & Yes, Toshimi seems to have gotten the most traits from her husky father. I think it is the lighter coloration, though, that really makes her appear more husky-like than the others. The black muzzles (from the chow chow) on Maya and the other littermates give them an almost shepherd- like appearance at times. (It's insane how many people ask me if she is a german shepherd or gsd mix when she has absolutley no shepherd in her lineage!)

Ashley- Yes, Frank is one of the littermates! Unbelievable, right?

Wow she's gotten so big since I last checked! What a gorgeous girl <3

Megan- yes, she is getting really big! It's funny because I can never tell since I'm with her every day. But when friends see her they always comment on how big she's getting! She's almost 7 months now, and weighing in around 35 pounds. Could anyone tell me how she compares in size to a purebred husky at this age? Also, does anyone know if puppies hit another growth spurt after 6 months? For some reason I feel like she is going to stay on the rather small side. Her mother weighs 45 pounds and is very short and stout (mom is the chow mix) and dad weighs around 70 lbs I believe.

Here are some pics of Maya at 6.5 months with her new friend Owsley, the bull terrier x pit bull mix. A friend of mine just rescued him from the local animal shelter, and what a sweet boy he is! Maya was head over heals in love with him.

Last week Maya had a playdate with my good friend's two dogs, Lola (boxer mix) and Ruby (aussie/ pit mix). The girls had so much fun together! Lola and Ruby were sporting their brand new jackets that I made for them!

Lastly, here's a pic (taken from Facebook!) of Maya's brother Wizard and mother Shera! Shera is a chow chow x australian shepherd mix. Wiz is definitely the most husky- looking of all of the littermates. What a handsome fellow <3

I think it is so neat to get all of the littermates together and play. I wish I could do that. :l

I think it's weird that the flash made the pit's eyes orange and blue. How odd! Reminds me of the game Portal lol. But, I know he has a blue & brown eye. lol

Thanks so much Jackie!! I really love crafting- I was an art major in college, so I like to think I have an okay eye for color and composition. The most recent pics that I just posted are from a borrowed camera, a really nice Canon Rebel EOS. My personal camera is a Canon powershot ELPH which has great low-light capability for a point & shoot, but no where near the over-all quality that the Rebel eos takes. Boy, I had fun with that camera. & Yes, I noticed that too, about the orange & blue pupils from the flash... must have something to do with the pigmentation, since one eye is blue and one is brown.. hmm! Interestingly enough, Maya's pupils go green when I use the flash.

EDIT! : Wanted to show a few photos from back in August when Maya was around 4 months old. These were taken at a local dog- friendly music festival called Bear's Picnic. Maya met a husky named Bailey who she absolutely fell in love with! (I happened to fall in love with him too, LOL!) They had a great time playing together!

I love when puppies have the "I did something really bad" look! It's so adorable, but then you have to search the house for their bad deed.

Also I have to say that Maya has some very cute friends. Is one of them a Tosa (sp?). I think his name was Champ?

Angelina- To my knowledge Champ is a mixed breed... boxer, pit, & lab I believe. He's a handsome boy though and such a sweetheart; he really tolerates the puppies' antics well!
