| The drug and lab costs are mounting. I'm voting for the first candidate that endorses SiberCare...
Mikko - ZRD, onset arthritis (bone and joint supplements) Blaze - Hypothyroidism, Ehrlichia + Sebo - Allergy and skin meds, borderline hypothyroidism (no meds yet), Ehrlichia + Topaz - Supplements for juvenile cataracts
All - Pre / Probitoics, Heartworm, Fish oil, Coconut oil |

| Not to get off topic but what supplements are you giving for juvenile cataracts? Both my chi girls have it but my vet said that there was nothing that could be done for them. You have me curious now. _________________ |

| He's on one Ocuvite tablet daily. She said it may retard their growth. I also have a script for atropine which is just a dilator to aide his peripheral vision in crowds if he gets spooked. I doubt I'll ever need it though. |

I thought they needed them for life? Storm was SO overweight that he tested hypothyroid. As we get him down to a healthy weight, he dropped into the normal scale, on the high side, but in the normal range. Since he's been holding his weight without issue, doc doesn't think he'll ever have to go back on meds. If he starts to gain weight for no reason, we'll run tests again to check. He's borderline, but it's been since May since he's been off thyroid meds and his weight has been steady. _________________ |

| Good to know, hope Blaze is the same. Other than weight and maybe a little lethargy he really has none of the other symptoms, hair loss, skin issues, ear infections, etc... |

| I'm in. Saber's on three medications and for about the last two years he goes to the vet every two weeks for a shot. The amount of money I've spent at the vet in the last two years, I should have my own wing built there already! |

Storm was a little lethargic when he was overweight, and had no other symptoms.... _________________ |

| Well just picked up the meds and the vet wants a recheck in a month but said it's typically for life. He's getting 0.8mg L-Thyroxine twice daily. It was really cheap though $15 for 70 tablets. |

| Yeah, Thyroxine is pretty cheap. If you're trying to drop some weight off Blaze, and you do and he drops below, say 80 lbs, maybe you can ask for a re-test...? _________________ |

| Everybody this is worth mentioning again, if you are getting "human" drugs for your dogs please try your "human" pharmacy first before spending so much more at the vet for the same meds. Levothyroxine is cheap! |
