Possible Thyroid Tumor Empty
PostSubject: Possible Thyroid Tumor   Possible Thyroid Tumor EmptyWed Aug 22, 2012 1:56 pm

So, I'm freaking out like crazy! My 7 year old Dalmatian Sophie has been in and out of the vet the last few weeks, because she lost her bark and just hasn't been her normal self. I had a really bad feeling last night and took her into the vet first this this morning. The vet gave her a clean bill of health and as we were walking out Sophie coughed and the vet noticed a lump on her neck that she didn't see before. She took her into the back to aspirate it and only blood came back, so she is sending it off to a pathologist, which I'll get the results back tomorrow. The vet said she is concerned that this is a tumor of the thyroid gland and want's to do a biopsy, which worries me because Sophie has a slight heart murmur (rated 1-2 out of 6). They also did bloodwork on her and I'll find out those results tomorrow.

Does anyone have experience with this or know anything about it?

I'm so beside myself and in shock that I'm driving myself crazy. I'm totally a wreck and not sure which direction to turn first.

I'm having to see a new vet, because my old one moved and this new one is straight out of college and has never performed this sort of operation before and I'm not trying to have my dog be her ginny pig. I feel like I'm running around in circles. Sad

Your conventional vet is going to think this is crazy, but look into glandular therapy. I've been doing a lot of research and talking to a lot of holistic vets and this is a pretty impressive way to not only stifle tumors, but to restore balance.

Just an idea, sorry if you think I'm cooky. lol

Tomorrow I'm taking my Sophie girl to the specialist for surgery to get her tumor removed. I'm so scared and completely freaking out. I'm hoping for the best and need all the prayers we can get!

They weren't able to operate. The specialist said it's completely wrapped around her lymph nodes and there's nothing he can do. They can offer radiology, which is going to run at least $5,000 he quoted and it's only going to shrink it and that's it. I have to enjoy the time I have with her and go from there. Not so good news today ...

I just wanted to give everyone an update on my Sophie girl.

Since I last posted, I took Sophie to a different vet for a second opinion. The oncologist pretty much told me the same thing as the surgeon at the previous vet and said I had roughly 2-4 month's left with her. I was absolutely devastated...

I was so upset driving home I accidentally took the wrong exit and wound up in the same area as the original vet's office. Next to them is a wonderful pet store that I decided to go in and buy Sophie some yummy treats for being such a good girl at the vet. I guess the worker's could tell I was upset and I told them what the oncologist told me. The owner was such a sweetheart and she told me about this company and they have a new product they are trying to come out with and are looking for people like us to test it on. I thought, what the heck, couldn't hurt to try. So, I gave the company a call and explained Sophie's situation. The lady was super nice and spent over an hour of the phone with me. She told me about all the vitamins I should be giving Sophie and sent a bunch of their product's for free. Once I got everything together, I started her on it immediately.

Since starting Sophie on this product and vitamins (beginning of September) her tumor has gone from the size of a softball down to being smaller than a golfball. Her bark/voice has completely came back and she's almost back to her normal self again.

Very Happy Thank you everyone for keeping Sophie in you're prayers, they are for sure working! Very Happy

It's not available for purchase just yet, so you won't be able to google info on it as of right now.

It's called Life Spice, but I believe they were going to change the name. What's helping her I believe is a combination of all the different product's along with the Life Spice by Nupro.

*Life Spice
*Wild Salmon Oil
*Nupro Gold Supplement
*Shiitake Mushroom Capsules
*Curcumin and Fermented Soy
