| Well Niko is talking more and being more vocal. Rodney definitely has come around and is very comf. with us. I keep telling my husband that something is wrong with Niko. He is sooooooo lazy and just lays around looking sad. We have to force him out back to go potty and then he comes right back scratching at the door. He pees and poops on the porch and will no longer go off the concrete. Rodney did that when we first got him but he will now go potty in the grass. Neither will run and play outside. I'm not sure if its the heat or of they know Jax is buried back there or what... :-(
I even try to let them out in the evening when its cooled down and play and they won't... But yet they will run in circles around the couches and dining table playing chase... |

| It's most likely the heat... temperatures over 70* turn Koda into a bump on a log. He will stay outside all night in the winter if we let him, but in this weather, forget it... he beats Hailey to the door in the heat. It's like a different dog! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| sorry to bring this up but is Jax sealed in anything, or just laying out there in his grave? i think dogs can sense that stuff and im all most wondering if that really is it. how cool is it getting at night? it could be the heat but if they still do not play outside at night that is odd. do they run around at the dog park or other peoples houses? i would test that out. _________________ |

| Jax is actually in a thick black bag that the vet put him in and told us to bury him in. We actually don't really have a dog park close to us so we don't ever go. We do take them on walks and we have a field that we let Rodney off leash only and he runs. We did kennel them for a week when we went on vacation and they came home so muddy and dirty so I am assuming they played hard there. Its gets down to the 80's at night here.. |

| Yeah-- 80s are like "non-husky dogs" for me. Seriously. We've accidentally left the dogs outside for an hour (oops!) on the runner in the winter and they've been playing and romping. In the summer, after 10 mins they're ready to come in and will sit on the porch and wait for the door to open. But just keep an eye on him. As long as he's still eating, drinking, playing indoors, I would think he's fine If you can't get him to go where Jax is buried AT ALL, then that's one thing. But you can always test it out by getting him to come for a treat by Jax's grave. A dog that's afraid of it will refuse to go near it. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
