Forum Rules

I have been lurking this forum for a while now and absorbed as much information as possible. I believe I am ready to adopt now. I wanted to get the community's opinion, however.

What are some things I should ask the breeder in my first email? Does this ad come off as "backyard breeder" at all?

Thanks for your reply. I couldn't find a AKC-licensed breeder near me so I thought of CL. Well, I guess this is it then.

Wow, I just looked at the petfinder link that Linda & John posted, and I must say that there is an ABUNDANCE of GORGEOUS huskies for adoption in your area! I must say I am a bit jealous, lol!

Thank you ljelgin. I set up an appointment to see 'Hercules' (first result). He looks to be a Husky and Shepard mix.
Well, I hope the puppies on that craigslist ad find great homes.

I love this guy, he is gorgeous!! Ahh ... if only I could take on a 4th Husky puppy, but I'm not that crazy Hope he finds a great home.

There are 3 rescues in this area, 2 of which have had puppies recently: Adopt a Husky, Free Spirit Siberian Rescue, and Raven's Husky Haven and Rescue. Raven's Husky Haven and Rescue just opened so they only have a few dogs but they are all professionally trained by the trainer that shows Shiver Siberian Huskies in the show ring.
If you're looking for show quality puppies check out Shiver or Lodgepole kennels.

Looks like a mix to me. But mutts are some of the greatest dogs on the planet. To me anyway. I've had mutts all my life, until I got Lucian.
