| My Husband and I are getting a new puppy...Im nervous about our other Husky who has never been around a puppy before but she is great with other dogs. What is a good way to introduce the new puppy to her? |

| Introduction is best in a neutral area. I was really worried brining home our second Husky and I let them meet outside before bringing her in the house. Once they were properly introduced and things calmed down, we brought her inside and they've been best friends every since |

| I always have my new fosters meet us someplace like a dog park or somplace where there is plenty of room. Usually immediately after meeting everyone and wearing them out a bit we walk together for about 20 minutes and usually we're ready to load up by that point. Then when we're home I put the dogs inside, the new dog outside with maybe 1 of my really good bombproof dogs.. Let them sniff everything out and slowly re-introduce the rest 1 by 1. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! That would be great for an older dog/puppy. I wonder is the OP is talking about bringing in a 8-10 week old pup, because if that's the case the dog park would be unsafe for health reasons. |

Yeah I assume they're talking about a puppy... It's still best to have them meet where there's plenty of room and not so much "pressure" to immediately and directly interact. That's essentially what I was getting at _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! |

| Keep puppies out of any place where disease is more frequent. Sometimes we can't help it...in which case I kep an acv dilute spray in the car with paper towel and wipe the feet off...at places like the vet |

| Please be very careful when getting a 6 week old...
I would use my backyard after I put ACV down. But, if you are in Michigan chances are you will eb getting the snow storm...so it may not be necessary. |
