Ditto. I haven't had any issue with it yet. Every company has it's issues and let's be real, 186 complaints out of how many bags that are made isn't that large of a population percentage. And most people only review when it's a negative thing so these reviews are only one side of the spectrum. However, if I can find a replacement food around here that is just as nutritious without so many negative reviews I'll strongly consider switching.

I do not feed BB or BBW. Maggie was on it their last recall as a puppy, yep switched and never looked back.

however there is no recall on BB. I just looked it up.

The recall you experienced was for Vitamin D, right Erica?

Blue is a decent food. I wouldn't worry too much. When feeding commercial food, whether it be for you or your dogs...things happen.

I feed raw because i got tired of it...even then you have to take precautions to keep your dog safe.

yes, I believe so. Yep it is a decent food. I would be feeding raw if I had space for meat! I like sold gold.

I read about this today too and though I have not had any problems with Blue Buffalo Wilderness Salmon Flavour I have decided to switch after hearing all the complaints and bad reviews. I went out today and bought Cally Orijen so I am hoping that she does well on that. And it is not a recall just some bad reviews.

I won't argue that Orijen is better, but I think there is no reason to freak out because there are bad reviews on consumer affairs - avoderm, evangers, diamond, natural balance, canidae and pretty much any other big pet food have bad results on that site. That website is where people go to give negative reviews.

Sorry Megan I forgot to add that it was not just the reviews that made me switch, I have been considering switching for a while! I've read quite a bit about Acana and Orijen and I feel that they are a better choice in food for Cally Smile So as I said we never had any issues on Wilderness but my own personal decision plus the bad reviews made me change!

We have been using Acana for a couple of years now. I love the fact that it is sourced from Canada and not China. they are great to talk with on the phone, they know their products, and the openly provide the name of the farms where their food comes from and only use wild salmon not farmed. Check them out for yourself.

I recently changed Selena over to BBW puppy and she has had horrible gas and her stools are becoming mush, she's excessive drinking water and urinating (I know puppies do this but it seems to be a lot more than when she was on her old food) and she's also constantly scratching and biting herself. I'm wondering if I should change her food? I had her at the vet the other day and the vet said they have had so many animals in the office because of the diarrhea, vomiting etc that are being fed Blue....I just don't know what to switch her to, I thought this was good food Neutral

Maybe about a month ago. I was thinking she was just having side effects of the Heartgard I gave her but the vet said those aren't usually sides effects of it. And I haven't been giving her anything else to eat, I give her kibbles of food for reward treats. So that being said it makes me think it is the food because the vet said she is 100% healthy. Her gas is so bad if your in the same room as her you don't want to breathe and her poo's smell SO bad even from a couple feet away pale

The BBW problem has me worried. Luna has been on that food for a while now. But last night she was really sick for seemingly no reason. She woke up at 4:30 AM with vomiting and diarrhea. I'm really hoping she just got into something but she has been very lethargic today and hasn't wanted to eat any of her kibble. She's going to the vet tomorrow but I'm seriously considering switching to TOTW or something regardless of what the vet says!

I would feed her a bland diet today just to see if it help her.

Boil chicken or hard boiled eggs with blanched carrots. A little white rice if she can take rice some dogs can;t..

Oh no, poor girl I hope she feels better soon! Anytime my chi was sick I would give her chicken and rice and she loved it. Honestly, I would switch her food too. I am not taking any chances especially after her vet said more and more dogs are ending up in the emergency with vomiting diarrhea lethargy etc and the only common thing is BB food. She told me to keep a "real good eye" on her which freaked me out enough. I just came from Petsmart and bought a bag of Wellness Core puppy, can't wait until this BBW is all gone...hopefully new food solves their problems!

Yeah we are doing chicken and rice tonight and hopefully the vet will be able to help. I just bought a new bag of BB but I might try to return it to Petsmart (even though it's open so I don't know if they'll take it) and tell them it made her sick. I hope she feels better too Sad
