Not that I don't love speaking to you... but I want ideas for how to get this place hopping. It used to be rather steady business and lately we're pretty dry. What sorts of topics would you be interested in seeing?

Rudy suggested a Trick Thread, teaching how you taught different tricks and small tutorials.

We need more thoughts! I want to attract newer members, encourage people to ask questions and offer advice. Any and all opinions appreciated!

I agree Koda! However I have no idea how to do so! You guys have helped me so much in the past 6 months!! I still go back and look at all of the pics and posts! Sniper is still eating stuff that she shouldnt! Ate the bottom half of a t-shirt last night that was in the trash! Fed her to thicken it up and crossing my fingers! Wish she would have learned her lesson! ugh! But I will think and get back to you on ideas

ok so my first thought is Books as Eddy brought up that that is where he looks for info. what if we started a book thread. i read the huskies for dummies book and found lots of useful things in it that would make for great talking. also i just got my traveling CO with dogs book and i think a thread on traveling with our huskies would be useful as i plane to do some road trips this fall i think. and with long car rides to get to hikes things seem to come up.

Isn't there some way to see what keywords people are using when searching Google? Analytics I believe. Never tried using it myself.

Also, our specific sections seem to be very light on stickies compared to other busier forums. For instance, the training area has not one. It might just be that people aren't finding any keywords in our headings when glancing through. Getting that kind of content together without plagiarizing it is a bit time consuming though. That might help give the appearance that we have knowledge to share.

Do you think we could put some pictures of "real" huskies on the front page? i do love our logo and it does feel CO but i can say i also love looking at a picture of someones husky on "the other site" we use google analytics here at our work to get info on our website and it is cool and helps us out. im told its free to use.

We could certainly start a Husky of the Month here and feature a member's dog's page on one of the side banners.

I don't want to steal ideas, so maybe we could talk about requirements in the Mod Forum. I personally liked the idea of having to write up submissions about our dogs, but see new thread for that.

I can definitely try and start a few sticky threads on certain topics. If you have any ideas or things you'd like to see, please PM me Mods, if you can think of topics, feel free to write on them as well!
