I cannot believe I have never seen this movie before. I remember someone posted about this but I searched for it and I couldn't find the thread! I remember reading it too! Oh well I guess...

So I am beyond excited to watch this movie and now I really want a Shiba...they are SO CUTE!

Uhm yeah. I totally cried. My comic relief was Sheba though. She seriously watched the whole movie. I took pictures of her throughout the movie. I also took a video of when Hachi was walking on the rail road tracks and he was going left and right and she followed him all over the screen.

I must say it confuses me why they used a Shiba puppy but an Akita adult? I read that it was for convenience, but it still confuses me just a little bit.

Shiba Inus are CRAZY little dogs! Cute but crazy. lol I didn't enjoy Hachi all that much, too bastardized if you ask me. The original Japanese movie Hachiko (you can find it with English subtitles) was a million times better.

Ahh yes. That would be the thread! I swear I put Hachiko in when I was searching..

Yes I have heard from multiple people the Japanese version was a WHOLE lot better. It's not on netflix (bummer), but I have to watch it now!!

I didn't actually cry, but it made me sooo sad. The one thing that made me tear up was when his daughter told him if he needed to leave she would understand.. that part was awful.

Oh but it did make me feel super bad for the dog when he slept in the shed Crying or Very sad .
