So yesterday after getting home from work...I go to pet the dogs. Kato's fine and greets me like he normally does...jumping on me and woooooing to me as soon as I get there. Karma takes a little bit longer to greet me, but she finally does. When I bent down to pet her she starts growling and snapping at me. This is NOT her normal behavior. I immediately tell her "no biting" and try to pet her again...this time she bites my hand and draws blood. I ask my son who's been home with her...if he noticed anything wrong with her or if he had done anything to upset her. He says "no she's been fine". Then he goes to pet her and she does the same thing, he backs up all nervous and scared and she started running after him.
The dogs are in the house four a couple hours until my son gets home from school and lets them outside.
Anyways so she finally lays on her back wanting to get rubbed and as I do she starts whining and snapping again. I really don't know whats with her. She has NEVER snapped at me before. I also noticed that a couple days ago she has been making wierd grunting noises...kind of like the "reverse sneezing"...I just thought well maybe she's allergic to everything here blooming so I just let it go. Her grunting noises almost sound like she's trying to hack something up.
I just don't know what's gotten into her. This morning she seemed fine, but I only spent a couple of minutes with her before I went to work.

Could it be maybe she was just in a mood...or she wasn't feeling well?

I would take her to the vet. That drastic of a change in behavior would lead me to think something is wrong or she is in pain in some way.

Ya, and it literally happened overnight. She's normally my sweet lovable Karma...and she was acting like a wild animal in attack mode.

So then my mind starts wondering and I start thinking about crap like what if she has rabies...or what if someone poisioned her....but that would be ridiculous as we never let them out of our sight or go anywhere where she could have been bitten by a rabid animal.

I'm going to go home today and see how she's acting...if I don't see a change in her behavior from yesterday I will definfitely get her checked.

Strange, I hope there is nothing physically wrong but a vet check up would be worthwhile. could she have ate something that has caused upset stomach or possibly clashed with your other husky during the day at some stage.

I would take her to the vet right now if it was me. Like stated above, drastic changes in behavior are never a good thing. I honestly wouldn't wait around to see if she's "changed" or not.

Yes she is spayed. Both my dogs are fixed.
I know it is very strange.
I hope nothing is wrong with her. I just hope she had like a stomach ache or something minor.

No no change in appetite or drinking. I did notice yesterday to, she was a little gassy.

Yesterday I took Karma to the vet and they looked at her and said everything looked good. They wanted a fecal sample to make sure she didn't have any kind of worms or any kind of parasites that would upset her stomach. Well when Karma was a puppy she did have Giardia, and they thought that maybe she had it again. Turns out her fecal sample came back negative for Giardia or anything else. She's back to her normal self all loving and happy again. They said she probably was really gassy or ate something upsetting to her stomach. They told me to watch out for any signs of watery diarrhea, or any other mood changes, if so then to take her back in. I feel a lot better taking her in, and knowing she's ok.

How old is she??

Shes almost 3.

I wonder if she could have had a seizure while she was home alone. Sometimes before or after a seizure, especially a severe one, dogs act totally out of the norm. Has she ever had a history of seizures or anything?

No, I've never witnessed any seizure like activities with her. She's always been healthy other than the Giardia.

Maybe it was just something upsetting her stomach, like the vet said. My mind always goes to the worst case scenario lol
