So I haven't been on here in a while...

But I'm fostering my second husky! For those of you that remember my first foster, Haku has been adopted a few months ago. Smile

Here are the pictures!

I believe she is a Husky/Spitz mix, with some Golden Retriever?

She's about a yr or so old. Protective of food. Pulls on leash. Counter-surfs. Learning her name pretty fast... Does well around children and doesn't jump on anyone! She does jump on random objects (my car because she wanted to get into it). Doesn't seem to care for small dogs. Shy of male humans. Barks at the door (new for me, Juneau doesn't). Knows sit and is learning to lay down. Is pretty laid back for the most part, but when she sees her leash, you better be walking her! lol

What type of Husky mix do you think she is? Her fur is really soft, especially around her ears. She has a big fluffy butt (lol) and a flowing tail! I wish I could get a moving picture of her. I've only had her since Saturday.

What is the proper approach for punishment if Maddie starts a fight? She has started a few scuffles (I was present for both times) and I would hold her collar (not dragging her towards me or anything), firmly told her, "No!" while looking into her eyes and one spanking on the butt. Is this appropriate? How would you train her otherwise?

Aside from that, she's a really sweet Husky. Gentle around kids and cuddles with you. Loves to play but loves to relax too.

So cute! I kept a leash on Kay and put her in a time out whenever she started fights.

I'd guess golden too. I know a GSDxgolden and huskyxgolden, she's pretty similar to both, they seem to keep that lovely flowing gold coat. She's super cute.
