Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

A sudden agression issue. Help needed! Empty
PostSubject: A sudden agression issue. Help needed!    A sudden agression issue. Help needed! EmptyWed Sep 04, 2013 7:00 am

Heya guys,

I could do with some advice as this has come out the blue. The first incident was probably last week when Layla got over excited and suddenly backed me into a corner. Ears back, teeth showing for no reason what so ever and she started running round the front room then coming back over to me. Each time I tried to grab the scruff of her neck or collar she jumped up to bite me. It terrified me that much I slipped out the front door. Came back in a few minites later and grabbed her to put her into her crate. Suddenly she started resisting. Bum on the floor trying to turn her head to nip me. Eventually I attached a lead to her and dragged her through. She was in her crate for the rest of the night then and I didn't hear a sound. Safe to say, I know dogs can smell fear, im still nervous around her now.

The second incident was 2 days ago, we took her to a dog friendly beach. She got over excited with my partner and suddenly began attacking her. She clamped down on her hand. At this point my partner grabbed her and pushed her to the floor holding her there till she was still giving her a firm 'No' along with some other words I wont mension Rolling Eyes its easy to lose it when somethings attacking you.

Another incident was last night. I was at work so I didn't see it but my partner came home from work, and decided to take her to what we call "poop point" because she always goes there. She did her business and turned on Kelly AGAIN for no reason. Shes sick of it now and so am I. Not even sure where we are going wrong. Does she suddenly think shes the leader of the pack?

This morning I took her on a walk and she sat down not even half way round and started pulling me back. When I tried to make her go my way she lay down n her ears went back as if she was going to attack. So I gave in as I didn't fancy being bitten. I don't understand where this behaviour has appeared from. She had her first season at around 7 n a half months old. Is she due again? I know they can get ratty. This morning ive started to train her to sit before she goes through any door in the house and I go through before she does. She gets a treat when she sits. Another issue, well im not sure if this is really an issue but she does sit on the sofa with us. Is that bad? Will that make her think shes equal to us?

Shes currently laid on the floor nawing her bone. Shes been off her food for the past 2 days aswell but seems happy in herself bouncing about with toys and nawing her bone. Her poops normal and solid. Usually throughout the day though it gets looser, anyone else have this issue? What could it be?

We tried worming her a few weeks back but 5 hours later she threw up on the lounge floor, not once, but 3 times.

serious help needed please im losing the will to live! Crying or Very sad
