Forum Rules

They were playing!! A LOT! But everytime I got the phone out to record them they stopped and looked at me. It was annoying. Them sleeping was the result of their playing.

Chad, I just now read your story....I know you didn't want to hear about your soft side..but may i just say this: When I met my Hubby, I had just extracted myself from a horrible marriage of 16 years. I was very unsure of ever dating anyone, didn't trust easily. Well, Tommy and I had gone out a few times, and I liked him a lot. But, it wasn't until he brought me home to meet his doggies, the Original 3 Amigos he had, that I knew what kind of person he was. His Leo, Tia and Kessie Anne were what convinced me to trust Tommy. The love they showed for him was absolute, and I figured if 2 huskies and a shephard mix could trust him, then I sure could give him the chance. The "manly" side isn't as important to some women as the "soft side". Be proud of it! And, your Sitka is a manly Husky, by the way! And a very handsome one, too! If only my three "played" like that!

In other news, my parents are looking into getting a husky now that I've taken Sitka away.

What happened with polaris? you know i love the reds but Sasha is still a pup and not sure how your parents will do with that? Deigo has such a cute face and is older but has the seizure thing going on so im not sure about that, i think i love them both!
I like Diego, myself I don't see the seizure thing as a big deal unless your parents are unable to pay for the medication. Sasha seems like a handful, not sure if your parents would be up for that.

My friends lab has siezures abd its not a big deal. Most of the time he just chomps at the air..But when he is taking meds he doesnt have them!

My mom's an RN so the seizure thing doesn't bother her at all. My mom is pushing for Diego so we'll see how that goes.
They're also having Polaris stop by this weekend. So between the two options it looks like they're getting a husky one way or another. I tried to push them towards a black lab that they came across that was trained as a seeing eye dog but didn't pass the exam for one reason or another. It just seems like it would be better to have an *extremely* well trained dog that doesn't require a leash and plays fetch and stuff. I guess Sitka had a pretty big impact on them that they want another husky.

Well I just got the call and they adopted Diego. He was given up for adoption after his owner died in Iraq-Afghanistan and my dad saw that as a sign that the least he could do is take care of this soldiers dog and give him a loving home. As I find out more I'll let you know.

I don't know about them posting on the forum: they can barely figure out how to work eBay. Plus we don't want to burst their bubble of thinking that I'm a nice person. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss.

Diego is ....I cannot come up with words...he's BEAUTIFUL! I am glad they chose him. Our Tia was epileptic, sometimes violently, but it wasn't often, since she was on medication. She lived to be 16. Her original owners gave her up to Tommy @ 9 months old, because of the epilepsy. They had no clue what they were giving up..their loss! Kudos to your parents. What an awesome thing.....

Sitting at my parents place while Sitka and Dawson visit. There's been a few scuffles but nothing horrendous.

Dawson isn't really one to relax and stay in one spot so this is about as good as I could get.
