Lani - congratulations. With only 2 points to go, any shows lined up so he can finish? I've said it before but I'll say it again...he is so handsome. From his color to his beautifully shaped head...and I love his coat - just the right amount of plush (at least, its what I remember with my first siberian 45 years ago - not the poof that I have now You can really see the lines of his body (elegant, to my mind.)

Well, to answer the questions to when he will finish his GCH...The answer is today was the day. I had a work conflict and sent him out with a good friend and professional handler.  He finished in a MAJOR way, winning Best In Specialty over 59 total entries earning him the title of

Oh, Lani - that is great news. You must be thrilled!

I am absolutely over the moon! Though a small part of me wanted to finish his GCH myself, I knew he deserved to be at the Specialty. He did certainly finished in style! Can't wait for the photo!

There has always been a possibility for Keegan puppies once he passed his health clearances. We will see what his future holds! I had thought about a Keegan x Molly outcross litter, but Molly still needs her citizenship (she's still Canadian registered) and her health tests.

Well and he can still show there are higher levels than the Grand Champion. Although I don't know what her plans are. He is a nice dog.

Yes, he will continue to show. Probably still on a limited basis right now, he has a lot more maturing to do yet...though he is coming together nicely as a more mature dog. Beyond that I've not set anything in stone, he's so young the possibilities are endless.

Keegan will need his own room in the house just for his ribbons!

Congratulations! Keegan is a hansom looking husky and excellent example of a breed.

Two years in a row now Keegan has had the extreme honor of finding his way into the first cut of BOB males at the SHCA National Specialty. From 68 males he was one of 23 that made the first cut. So very proud of the boy!

Its been a while since we've been here and a bit since we've shown. We lost Keegan's breeder, good friend, and moral support last year and its really dampened our enthusiasm. Though Keegan has been out with a handler to the National Specialty, where he did make the cut once again - this is the first time we've been back out together. Taking Select Dog twice over the weekend, overcoming his owner/handlers obvious out of practice-ness...

Thank you. It’s taken a bit to get our hearts back into it. The Siberian community lost a big light and awesome preservation breeder when Michael left us. But I felt it’s important to carry on in his honor.
