Good day guys! At last, a dream dog come true! I'm Jason from the Philippines, a tropical non-snow country (LOL). I have my 2mo. old siberian husky with me, named Darla. I'll be posting some pictures later. Can you suggest some tips and tricks regarding a 2mo. old husky?

When they NEED one!

You should start bathing her while she's young to get her used to it. I'm sure she'll find some mud or dirt soon to get you started!

what a cutie! i gave embry a bath the first day because he stunk! the breeder had the puppies outside in the kennel with mom, and inside during the day, but he smelled terrible because they bathed him before i picked him up and he was still wet when i got him it was so gross.

guys, what's the best toy for a husky pup??

anyone familiar to "head and shoulders" shampoo/conditioner? is it okay for Darla?

I myself prefer to give them Nylabones and I can't say I'd recommend a human shampoo for her unless it's baby shampoo.

My advice for any puppy is EXERCISE. A tired puppy is a well behaved puppy. Doggie daycare, running with you, doggie play dates, are all great ways to get them the exercise they require.
Start obedience training right away, too. A husky needs to work his mind and obedience training is a great way to do it. Warning, though, huskies are notoriously smart and will generally do what you ask when there is something in it for them. They won't do it just to make you happy!

can I now start to teach Darla how to obey some commands like sit, down, stay?

I say it's never too early. Just make sure to keep training short and sporadic through the day. Huskies tend to get bored quickly, so don't be surprised if the treat that worked yesterday doesn't work today. Stay ahead of her by having a huge arsenal of rewards (toys too, not just treats).

definitely never too early, husky pups learn so quick so i personally enjoy teaching them when they're younger

You should absolutely start with basic commands right now. Five or 10 minutes at a time. It only takes a husky a couple of tries to figure out what you want. A great way to teach commands it to incorporate them throughout your day. Have her sit to go outside, sit before eating, "ask" for a cookie (speak), that sort of thing. It will give her good manners and build your bond.
