2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. PostSubject: Hello from a new owner   Hello from a new owner EmptyMon Jan 14, 2019 6:12 am

Good morning, I am glad that I found this forum. I have owned dogs forever but this is our first Husky. She is a two year old Siberian and my question is: Since we got her 4 days ago she has eaten very little and seems to be sleeping a lot. Is this normal? We are feeding kibble and have tried mixing some can into it but no avail. She will sit and beg when we are eating which makes me think she was fed table food before. Any help would be great as I hate seeing her not eat but I am not feeding from the table. Thanks

Huskies, for the most part, eat less than other dogs of the same weight. But - she is still adjusting to you and her new environment. I would stop trying to entice her to eat, ditch the canned food, give her her kibble portion, leave it out for 20 minutes, put it away and give her NOTHING until the next scheduled meal time. Repeat at next meal.

Just for a rough guideline, my over-sized 78 pound male gets 1.75 cups per day of a food that has 450 calories per cup. My 53 pound guy gets 1.25 cups of the same food.

Are you trying to post a new thread? Or post pictures? Are you using a phone or a desktop computer? When you go into the subforum for the topic you are wanting to know about there will be a button at the top left above the existing threads that will say "New Post" and you just click it to start a new topic in that particular subforum. Many answers can be found using the "Search" function found in the above menu. Less is more when searching so if you want to know about what food to feed you are better off to just search Food then look through the titles for similar interests. Or opt for the advanced search which will let you use google to hunt through site posts.

Hello! My puppy was doing this same thing when I first got her. I messaged the people I bought her from asking what did they feed her, they told me raw ground beef. Now I know why she didn't want to eat canned or kibble food. She does now thoug! I know it sucks watching your puppy not eat but she will hungry enough and eat it when you put it down. It took my Sasha just a couple of days to start eating her kibble and she eats the whole bowl when I feed her Smile
