Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Hello,

I'm new to this forum and only recently came across it the other day when looking into issues with Korra. I was hoping to get some advice in regards to her condition and behavior the last couple days. She's been walking around with her toys in her mouth and whimpering a lot. She has also been whimpering in her crate a lot and having difficulty breathing properly. Typically, she is not panting too much after a walk or some type of exercise. However, the last couple days I have noticed her panting much more and whimpering as well. I have attached some videos to show everyone what I've been seeing. I took her to vet the other day and she was diagnosed to be healthy so I was hoping for some piece of mind from any experts on this matter here as she is still displaying these symptoms that have me worried. Thanks in advance for your help.

Toy hoarding and whining/anxiety are definitely signs of a false pregnancy. They usually come a little bit after a heat cycle. It can last a while. Best remedy is take all the toys away until over. She is viewing them as her "babies" and it won't stop until she has "birthed and weaned" them. By taking the babies away she will think they died and can start getting back to normal. Dogs who experience false pregnancies are likely to continue to experience this every time they have a heat. If she isn't fixed, getting her fixed will stop it. If she is fixed and this is happening it will require a re-spay as this happens when the original spay resulted in not everything being fully removed. They will have to find the bit left behind. That's more common when dogs are fixed too young.

Thanks for the advice! I will try taking her toys away and hiding them when I get home from work. I have her scheduled to get fixed later this week as well. My biggest concern is how she's been breathing but the vet said she was healthy. Thanks again for providing me with some ease of mind.
