I'm trying to decide if making the switch is the most beneficial... Right now my baby girl is on blue buffalo wilderness salmon. She loves it but she certainly prefers human food (hence why I wanted to try human-grade). Anyone know how it compares in cost if it isn't much of a difference I'm willing to at least try it. This dog eats better than I do....

Take a look at this thread: The Honest Kitchen

It has a lot of good information on THK and cost comparison info.

If you still have questions, post back and I'm sure someone will reply back Smile

I prefer THK over kibble mainly because the food is less processed and closer to it's more natural and beneficial state.

Costwise, I actually find THK cheaper to feed than premium grain free kibbles as well but you have to factor in that I buy my Honest Kitchen in bulk (for a bulk discount) when it goes on sale and use a coupon code, all of which help lower the cost. If I were to just pay regular price at some random place then it might not cost me less at all. Shopping smart online and waiting for deals helps tremendously, that's something I wish I had figured out sooner. It wasn't until 2 yrs after our first dog that I stopped paying regular price at local stores for my dog food and found the wonderful savings of internet shopping, bulk discounts, online sales and online coupon codes...all of which can be combined! Just sharing that because I wish someone had awakened me to that years ago. lol All the money I could have been saving!

Only problem for me with buying bulk is I don't usually have that much money to spend all at once on dog food Sad

Well, maybe in the future when your finances are better able to handle bulk purchases. I usually order about 40 lbs of THK at a time...i.e. I buy four 10 lb boxes at a time which I think was costing me about $180 something or thereabouts. Feeding that exclusively to my pack would last 4 months but since I do mix ins with THK and feed raw part of the week that 4 boxes will easily last me 8 months. Just something to keep in mind for when you do have the ability to purchase in bulk...over time the savings do add up...especially when you have more than one mouth to feed!

Thanks for all the help... Tried it with Delilah today. I'm a little disappointed because she stuck her nose up at ( thank god it was a sample size). When I put the blue wilderness out she was all over it. Looks like Delilah has spoken lol

You could try different samples with her, if your local store doesn't have samples you can always email the company and ask them to send you some for free. I know some dogs who will turn their noses up at some Honest Kitchen formulas but will chow down on others. Not saying that Delilah would not turn her nose up at other formulas but it's worth trying different formula samples just to see.
