SISI has an attitude!!!! Empty
PostSubject: SISI has an attitude!!!!   SISI has an attitude!!!! EmptyThu Aug 11, 2011 8:55 pm

Ok, long story short: my Mom moved in with us at the end of July. She is a dog-lover/owner from way back. I have noticed Sisi has been really acting up since Mom moved in. She just seems out of control with her talking(barking) and seems slightly more aggressive with the others. Linus wouldn't even go outside with the others today because Isis was so loud, so my Mom said. Sisi just seems to like to be loud & create a ruckus! I think it intimidates my Mama, and Isis is OBVIOUSLY the one in charge of the canines. It really is no more than her being louder & playing rougher with the others, but something seems off with her. I guess today, the antics got so bad that Mika sensed Ma was a little scared & planted herself in front of Mom to "fend off" Isis & Nanuk as they played (roughly).
Could she just be stressing due to the changes going on in the house? Like she maybe needs to re-establish herself & territory? I don't know, but she seems a little out of control! I can't explain it...no overt signs of aggression towards us or the others, just ROUGHER in her play & talking back a LOT....
I told my Mom not to let Isis see she is frightened, as I think Isis senses this & is is just pushing buttons. but really, Ma isn't used to living with the 3 Huskyteers+Linus and it's all new to her as well. Her dogs have always been little doggies, so if they rough-housed, it was nothing like the 3 Huskyteers at their worst....I dunno...maybe I'm worried about nothing?
I don't want Ma being scared to live here! And I don't like the thought of Sisi scaring her. I honestly think Isis is acting like this cause she knows Ma's a little leery of her,,you know the bully who bullies only those they can get away with bullying?

Your spot on with what you've just said.

One thing to help your mom, have her stay on the good side of Mika since she has already made herself guardian. Then I think in due time Isis will adjust to having your mom there. To me its the last person/canine on the totem pole Isis the youngest(???) if so she is just trying to assert herself.

Len-
Yes Sisi is the youngest, but she's not the last in the house. I think you're right about Mika. It's funny, cause Mika's really easy-going & LOVES my Ma.....immediate connection between the two. And it seems she just did not want anyone bugging her G'ma!
