So I was really disappointed with the weather.. it rained my entire drive down there and was sprinkling pretty much the entire time we were there, so there was an overcast and horrible lighting.. AKA not ideal for good photos, especially action shots. I was using my 77-300 telephoto lens the entire time and with the rain and just being lazy, I didn't adjust the shutterspeed or ensure every photo was in focus at all. I didn't get as many photos as I wanted either since I put it up a good portion of the time when the rain got a bit heavier, or when I was too busy talking my head off to take pics. Hopefully the next time there's a meet up we will have better weather!

YOU come to CO! And thanks everyone! I was way too lazy to move around and so many people were in the way of me zooming in and taking photos of the dogs playing, so I sort of stayed in the same circle of dogs as you can tell! My favorites definitely are of Storm, Ginger and Rogue! I was cracking up, she looked like she was getting killed.. I think she must love JD (Claudia's) forever for saving her from that!

Great shots, Heather! Despite the adverse conditions you managed to take some excellent photos which speaks volumes! Believe me, I can especially appreciate how hard low light, high speed husky action photos are and you did GREAT!

These are great, Heather!! OMG, Nikolai is such a HAM for people!! Geez. And the action shot 3rd from the bottom is my other friend's dog, Odin. ;-) And definitely, the between the knees smile needs to be her submission for HOTM.

I don't think it can beat the smile photo in my signature, I'm in LOVE with that photo! Your friend was very night BTW Kate!

Jenn, Jack is so photogenic! I tried to get more of SIerra but apparently she was always in the worst spot and they didn't come out well (unfocused). But her face is so sweet in the one I did get!

LOL Claudia, isn't it bad wanting a cam so bad just for dog photos!? That's the only reason I got one, and like I said I got the 77-300 tele lens which cost nearly as much as my cam just because I couldn't stand being too far for a close up! Uhg, it's insane.. Like I said, I don't consider myself a photographer but love messing with the cam with the dogs, they make it too easy to get pretty shots

I would use the cam a lot for the furbabies but also to take other pictures. I can also use it as an excuse for being slow on the trail! LOL!
