He's a pretty baby, too. (Of course, I'm a bit partial to Thor... my Bella looks a lot like him, except she has a pink nose.) German Shepherds are such good dogs. One of my friends has a GSD puppy named Kota... made me wish for a puppy for a second or two.... ummmm... no. But she is good.

Thanks Smile

After Lady died in 2007 I said I would not get another husky do to living in FL. So when I was ready for another dog I decided I wanted a GSD. I found Nero on Craigslist for free but while looking for a GSD I seen lots of huskies it was really hard not to get another one. Then my SIL friend got Thor I was so jealous. Then after a year and a half I get the call asking if I wanted Thor and I was like heck yea...lol

So do they get along pretty well? They seem to. I love the little white spot above Nero's eye. Makes him easy to spot for sure. :-)

German sherpards are nice dogs...we used to have an all white GSD when I was younger! Very Happy He was my FAVORITE dog ever! He was what prompted me to want a white husky. Very Happy

Funny, I didn't want a husky since I was living in FL either. I just "assumed" they needed extreme cold weather to be happy. Once I did a lot of research on the breed and discovered they could be happy anywhere! Provided they have enough exercise (and we don't let them roast in 100 degree weather!)

Thor and Nero get along great they are both the same age Nero is 3 months older. So they both play and run all day. Thor of course is faster then Nero but they love to chase. I can't wait to get them on video.Nero does this trick to catch Nero when Thor is chasing him. He does a drop and roll under Thor and he ends up be hide Thor, it's to cool...lol
When I found Nero I was looking for a white Shepherd. I always figured FL would be to much for a husky. When I first moved her my daughter took Lady out and she got loose and was gone for 2 days. I was all over the place with animal control trying to find her. When we did she was so out of it. It took he a week to get back to normal I felt so bad for her. I was like I will never own another husky in FL.

But you know.... this is how I look at it, you know you love the dog, and when you adopt you know that no matter how many times you screw up, you are still a better home than what they had before.

Me too... I just saw on facebook that there is a husky at our local animal shelter. She appears to be lost, but if no one reclaims her, I'm gonna have a hard time not going to get her. Sad

Luckily, I have no restrictions, but I'm just not sure I can handle 3 huskies. I'm not home enough as it is... that's one of the main reasons I got Bella... I was hoping they would keep each other company. Right now, they ignore each other, but they've only been together for 3 weeks and Keimo's been the only *child* for 7 years. I'm hoping they'll eventually become friends.

Nero is a good looking pup! Did the previous owners say why they were giving him up?

Looking at your Nero, I see Piper has more of GSD snout than a husky snout. I don't know anything about GSD's...I probably should read up. She defianetly listens better than a husky but she's still a pup so she may start having a mind of her own soon. Smile

His GSD had puppies and he was giving them away. It was not a planned litter so he did not have the money to take them to the vet. By the sounds of it I think he was going to start breeding his male and female.

Oh, I forgot to answer your white dot question.
It's his hair, I call it a birthmark it's the only white on him.

I ended up rescuing a 6 month old GSD. Wasn't in the plans to have a 3rd a dog. I have the 2 sibes and the GSD. I have fostered for the husky rescue so I have had 3 dogs in the house before and I have had 4 sibes at once before as well. GSD is for sure different then a husky. Gorgeous dogs BTW.

You'd better watch out, Nero has that "I'm going to crap in your shoes while you sleep" look on his face Razz
