2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Our new baby, Mika Dsc02710

Our newest baby. We have decided to call her Mika (MEE-kah), which means "God's Child". I feel He led us to her. As you can see, she is very underweight, but we plan to rectify that. Poor girl was found as a stray. The local Humane Society mandated that she be spayed before we could get her, so we took her in yesterday for her surgery. When I talked to the Doctor afterward, I found out she had been pregnant, but it was too late to save her babies. None of us had any idea. Poor little girl. We plan on making her the happiest girl she can be! She deserves nothing less! She is just getting to know her brother Nanuk & sissy, Isis. It will be an interesting next couple of weeks, as I think keeping her quiet and resting will be exhausting for us! Welcome, Mika!

Lucky her! I know first hand what it's like to add weight to a malnourished Husky. Poor thing has the same hips Ridik had.

Now I need a red sled head. All of mine are gray/sable.

This is a much better picture of our Mika. She is recovering well, and has been out in the yard with her brother Nanuk & sister Isis. She can't be off-leash yet until she heals, about a week and a half. Which is good timing, because we don't want her out there with the two nuts until she can stand on her own! She is a lovely girl and I think some poor person is missing thier dog. I cannot believe she was never claimed! She is soft-spoken, and knows her "sit, down & stay" very well! She will even sit to get her leash put on, which our other two have yet to master! Maybe her good manners will rub off on them????

Haha- it's very possible that her manners will rub off on them! I would make a big deal of it and praise her a ton when she does this (and make sure to do it in front of the others!) Then let her go outside first as a reward. This might get the others to see that manners = reward Smile

And she's beautiful. Congrats again!

What a great name for her, she is so cute and it is so great you will be giving her a loving home! Im a sucker for the REDS! Now when you say off leash do you mean free range in your yard with the other 2 or while out on the street walking? i would never trust our two off leash out of the house as they will boult at the fist cat, bunny what ever and would be gone.

Oh, no! Off-leash in our backyard! Never free on the street! That's a lesson I never want to learn and don't need to be taught....
