Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

When you do a video again, I'd try to do it from ground level. The upward angle doesn't give the best look at it.

Well I am waiting at the vet for her. Looks like its going to be around 400$ to put her under, take X-rays of both hips and knees and if she needs meds... Sad

So we just got home... 380$ later... She said one of her hips is not as tight in the socet as the other but it may not even qualify for HD, it's not even the leg that is bothering her, her knees are fine... They said its likely a soft tissue injury that keeps getting irritated from strenuous activity and I need to try to keep her from running around. They gave me a short prescription of anti-inflammatory to see if it helps... Here is this bill... Sad

Sometimes when another leg hurts or is uncomfortable to walk on they will modify their gait and over compensate with the other, causing that one to incur soft tissue damage.

It's been a few days and she's driving me a little crazy, she wants to run around but I don't want to do anything crazy like take her out on the bike. If its a soft tissue injury and I don't want to upset it again, would swimming be ok for some exercise?

I would think swimming would be ok. Maybe call your vet to be safe.

I presume swimming would be ok for it. It's not weigh baring and shouldnt cause straine one the injury.
I'd just keep an eye on her, make sure she doesnt do it for too long.

They just called me actually informing me the radiologist looked at her X-rays and said her hips and knees are fine and it is officially assumed to be a soft tissue injury.

Have you got toys and chews to keep her mentally stimulated until you can take her to burn off her pent up energy physically?
