1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Certain angles and faces zoey makes remind me so much of Keeonah! She is just a little bit more copper than Zo, vs. what i affectionally call the "toasted marshmellow" coat color.

Jennet, check this out!

Reds !!! lol! I am finding out what a spaz they can be with Kerian. Blaze is so easy now and laid back surprising me because I remember 10 months ago how much of spaz he was..

He has grown up alot I find is all so interesting being that Kerian is older than Blaze.

Ah the fun with owning Red Huskies.

I am pulling for you on getting the rescue dog.

Megan, he's a mutant husky! Wink He's tall and hovers between 72-79 lbs. In that pic, about 77. She was probably 52 lbs in that pic. He's got a GIANT head, too.

Love Keeonah's color! Smile Good luck with the application, Sean!

We have not ruled out the possibility, except that he's incredibly husky looking and has blue/amber eyes. One day we'll do the DNA test. For now, we have a "husky" husky. Wink

Threadjack! Wink hehe

Fave pic so far - THAT FACE! So cute! :

Thank you so much! I love it too. I can see why you like it though, Chili is very very similar in color Wink

If Brody finds his home with me, I will have a very RED, but beautiful pack Smile

Brody is already neutered, and keeonah will be spayed in a couple of weeks, but MAN, that sure doesn't stop me from imagining how beautiful their pups would have been I love you

When will you find out if they select you?

You know, I'm not sure. They emailed me asking about my background as a person, and with dogs, huskies specifically etc., and I wrote them a pretty lengthy email back explaining about the proper setting, perfect playmate, and my experience as an owner. I even sent them pictures of Keeonah Smile

The only real glaring issue here, is that upon reading their website, they like to check out the home, and introduce the dogs to eachother, to see if they'd get along. The problem here, is that I live in oregon, and the rescue is in New Mexico. I live a pretty meager existence, being a part time working college student, so a trip to NM to visit kinda seems unlikely.. I explained to them how Keeonah is extremely laid-back with other dogs, never really inserting dominance anywhere. She just enjoys playing with her GSD cousin.

I am hoping that they can overlook this small issue after they can see how devoted I am to the breed, and that Brody would definitely have a very good life here with me and Keeonah.

I guess time will tell. And God knows how much I LOVE waiting games Just Submitted an application to rescue a dog! - Page 2 1625187496
