Hayden smells just HORRIBLE!! I've tried giving him bath's after bath's, sending him to the groomer, dry shampoo, sprays, etc. He smells like old sour milk! It's disgusting and smells up my house and even my car. I've smelled smelly dog's before, but nothing quite like this. My boyfriend's family bred boxers while he grew up, so he's been around ton's of dog's and said even he's never smelled anything like it. He's eating raw and that's suppose to get rid of the dog odor, but his is still strong. Anyone have any tip's or have similar issues? I don't wanna have to keep giving him all these bath's, because I don't want to dry out his skin and give him skin problems, but it's just a wretched smell! HELP anyone I'm desperate SMELLY Husky!!! 1625187496

These dogs typically don't have a strong odor. My first thought would be anal glands. I only trust the vet to completely expel/inspect that. Happens sometimes.

I agree with Eddy, sounds like an anal gland issue or perhaps a skin fungus.

Our friends Newfie had a small cut that became infected because it wasn't found quickly (most likely because of all that hair), the infection ended up making him super smelly. I don't know if that is likely, but it wouldn't hurt to give him a good once over to check for any wounds. Other than that, i definitely agree that it could be a glandular problem.

I would say anal glands as well! My lab had the problem a few months ago, it smelled like dead fish and was just so bad! She needed the glands expelled.

A few weeks ago I saw Balon "scooting" he was due for another shot so while there I had them express his!

The only thing keeping me from thinking it's anal gland's is that he went to the groomer a little over a week ago and they expressed his anal glands. The smell is more towards his neck and back area vs his butt area. I'm gonna take him into the vet and get their opinion.
