| HI, Just wanted to introduce myself and my new Husky mix puppy. We rescued him from the SPCA just over a week ago. His name is Char and He is 12 weeks old. He has been really good so far, still having pee accidents in the house, but that is usually when we aren't paying close attention. He is great in his crate, we had some loud crying the first two nights, but he is fairly good now. I have been off of work this week trying to concentrate on some training, but not sure it is making a huge difference. He is a nipper and we have some serious work to do on the biting/chewing. We already have him in puppy classes at a local place here and plan to move onto foundation training from there. As for me I live in Nova Scotia, Canada with my husband, two sons and two cats in addition to Char. He so wants to play with the cats, but they are not one bit interested in that. I have one cat that likes to get really close until Char takes notice and then he takes off. He also likes to walk with us so that Char can be totally distracted for the entire walk.  Looking forward to getting to know all of you and learning lots of stuff about Huskies. He is our first dog and I know we have given ourselves a challenge.    |

| Welcome and Congrats. Such a beautiful pup. So glad to finally hear that someone else's cats like to go walk the dog too. |

| Thanks, so happy to have found this board.
We figure border collie as well, but so far he acts like a husky. It will be interesting to see how he grows and matures. I have to ask my trainer what she thinks. She has lots of experience with different breeds. |

I've got a mix here too. Even thought Freya is a Bull Mastiff/Husky mix this site has been invaluable to me. I hope it's as helpful to you too. |

| I have already learnt things from this board. He seems more husky the way he acts for sure. It will be interesting over time to watch what develops. |
