| so some time last year I bought a koi pond and would love to put it in the back yard as my mom said if I put it in the front/side yard I risk kids falling in and drowning, and then my ass getting sued so the back yard it is but not sure how it will work with the dogs. I'm sure they will not try to swim in it as they seem to hate water but what about drinking the water filled with whatever chemicals I need to put in it, and the plants? I'm sure it is not to bad as the fish can live with it. just wondering if anyone out there has a pond and huskies and how has it worked? _________________

| Took me a sec to figure out what kind of pound haha then i realized you where meaning to say pond. I think it should be fine but they may want to play with the fish good luck with that one. My neighbors put chicken wire over theres to keep dogs out. |

| Chicken wire sounds like a good idea... but yeah- Koda LOVES fish and keeps trying to attack my parents. Literally he bashes into the tank because he's a moron and doesn't understand the concept of glass. Just be careful... maybe even a little fence around it? _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

You get a treat strictly based on the fact that you called her out for her grammar. One of these days she'll learn. _________________ Posts made by me are not associated or approved by itsahuskything.com. | Jack will look at my fish tank but never really cares about them. I was wondering if I somehow built the pond up off ground level if that might be better but then I need a lot of dirt and to keep it insulated in the winter will be harder with it raised up. I really want a koi pond do you think it really is a bad idea to put it in the front/side yard near our porch? front yard not fenced in. _________________ |
